Ferrari Trento, established in 1902 by Giulio Ferrari in Trento, Italy, pioneered the production of traditional method sparkling wines in the region. Recognizing the potential of Trentino's mountainous terrain, Ferrari introduced Chardonnay grapes to Italy, aiming to create wines that could rival French Champagne. In 1952, without direct heirs, he entrusted the winery to Bruno Lunelli, whose family has since expanded its legacy. Today, Ferrari Trento is renowned for its commitment to quality and sustainability, holding certifications like 'Biodiversity Friend' and producing over half of all Trentodoc wines. Notably, since 2021, Ferrari Trento has been the official toast of Formula One, marking a significant presence on the global stage.
