Ferrari Trento was founded in 1902 by Giulio Ferrari who introduced Chardonnay to the Trentino hills and set out to make Italian sparkling wine in the traditional method. In 1952 he sold the cellar to Bruno Lunelli, whose family has operated and expanded the firm ever since. Under the Lunelli family the company developed signature wines such as the Giulio Ferrari Riserva del Fondatore, and it became Italy s leading Metodo Classico producer. The estate headquarters and atmospheric cellars sit above Trento and the family restored Villa Margon to serve as the group s representative residence and hospitality center. Today Ferrari Trento is known for marrying mountain vineyards with long aging in bottle to produce fine sparkling wines.
