The Boroli estate is a family venture with entrepreneurial roots in Piedmont dating back to 1831, and the family entered commercial winemaking in the late 1990s with the Boroli label. Their cellar and vineyards concentrate on Barolo crus, most notably the monopole Brunella and the Villero cru in Castiglione Falletto. Achille Boroli joined the business in 2000 and after 2012 he led a program of vineyard and cellar changes to raise quality and emphasize single vineyard Barolos. The property anchors production at Cascina La Brunella where a new winery building opened in 2006 and all winemaking and ageing are carried out on site.
