Maison Brédif, known commercially as Marc Brédif, was founded in 1893 in the Vouvray area and built its reputation on Chenin Blanc and traditional method sparkling wines. The estate is notable for extensive troglodyte cellars carved into tuffeau rock that house old vintages and historical presses. After a period of change the property was acquired and revitalized by Baron Patrick de Ladoucette in 1980, who expanded holdings and investment in quality. Today the house produces a range of Vouvray styles including a late harvest Nectar and a single vineyard Vigne Blanche, while remaining a landmark producer on the Loire valley bank near Tours.
